For the most part, Fay is done with us....

Well, there are 2 things I have found that has come from Fay.. #1, we're no longer in a drought situation. After dumping as much as 33 inches of rain in parts of FL, this should take care of the drought in big ways. Now I wonder about the sink holes.... #2, Fay took out a lot of the election signs. I knew there was a reason I was hoping for a bigger storm. If she was just a bit bigger, she would have taken them ALL down.

Fay is missing us? Think again!

Tropical Storm Fay is making it difficult to allow us to know what to do. First while it was still in the Cuba area, the storm was projected to come directly for us. Now when we think we're in the clear, it's projected to move across the state into the Atlantic, then cut back into Florida or southern Georgia and go right over top of us that way.
Well, at least we need the rain! This should take care of any drought we have.
People, be safe out there and don't do anything stupid....
Tropical Storm FAY on her WAY....

TS Fay is forecast to come extremely close if not on top of us starting Tuesday of this upcoming week. We recommend preparing for it now. Some projections show the storm could hit a CAT 3 by the time it reaches us. In other words, this will be something bad. NEVER consider the possibilities that the storm will miss us. Rather expect it to hit. People that wait till the last minute usually stands to loose the most... including their life or that of a loved one!
There are a few new toys we would like to add to our little weather station. These are some things people have mentioned they would like to see.

Lightning Detector - With this toy, we will be able to produce a map that will show (in real time) lightning strikes within a 300 mile radious of Lake City Weather dot Com. Cost - $350

UV - Some have asked for a way for us to measure the UV levels. There is an addon to our weather station that can measure this. Cost - $450
Although we are not the "OFFICIAL" weather souce for Lake City, we do supply weather data to people like, The National Weather Service, The Weather Channel, NOAA, Weather Underground, GLOBAL, NASA, and a few other agencies and groups that do weather studies.
The addons to our weather station will allow us locally to know what the weather is like now, and help with weather prediction.
